School of Visual Arts / New York卒業。石岡瑛子氏に師事、カルバンクラインNY本社宣伝部にてデザインの経験を積み、1998年ニューヨークにてSayuri Studio, Inc.を設立、現在は東京をベースに活動中。

たったひとつのデザインから一貫したディレクションまで。日本生まれ・ニューヨークで培ったキャリア、テクノロジーとクラフツ、東洋と西洋文化へのなめらかな理解とブティックな美意識。見る人の感情にタッチするコンセプトとクリエイティブで、ブランドに新鮮で独自のストーリーと価値をもたらすよう、日本とグローバルな視点で国内外のプロジェクトを手掛けています。

ABOUT SAYURI

Sayuri Shoji is a multi-disciplinary, art+design director and designer. Through her boutique studio, she has collaborated with some of the most respected professionals in their fields. Projects include packaging for Dove, Derek Lam, DOT Marc Jacobs perfume bottle, art/creative direction for Shu Uemura makeup collections, THE GINZA (Shiseido) , Swatch alarm clock, Sephora clear candles, Identity design for Issey Miyake HaaT and Kanazawa University. Sayuri has a fluent understanding of both Eastern & Western cultures and is able to work well both independently and within a team to deliver the intuitive, yet high standards of creative expressions.

As a Japanese-born art director and designer who established her career in New York City, Sayuri's fluid understanding of Western and Eastern sensibilities has facilitated a continuing stream of work in both hemispheres.
